The Resilience Project 2025

Story telling is one of the most powerful forms of sharing information, wisdom, and inspiration. Although we are all very different, each of us has a story about an experience of rising above the difficulties in our life. Can you share your story?
Resilience is an evolving state of grace for all who have come up against life's hardships and persevered. This project is a celebratory look at the triumph of the human spirit, both in that face of overwhelming adversity and in the small, often unrecognised victories over everyday challenging events. Your resilience story will be the catalyst for new artworks.
The Resilience Project is a collective of 10 local female artists. Each artist will interview 10 women in the FNQ community who have gained resilience, wisdom and grace through facing and overcoming hard times. The resulting artworks will be exhibited as part of International Womens' Day at the Court House Gallery, Cairns between 6th March - 27th April 2025.
